Guidance Counselor L-Z
The 2019-2020 school year is my third year with UMA as a school counselor. Previously I worked as a counselor and part time teacher at Karl Maeser Academy.
My background before becoming a school counselor was in career services, specializing in internship site development, job placement, and teaching soft skills to adults entering the work force. I really enjoy helping people connect with resources that move them toward a career goal.
I also spent several years working for Davis Applied Technology Center and appreciate that most careers today require greater technical expertise. My passion here at UMA is to help our cadets discover an interest or talent that inspires them to pursue technical training or a college bound path that may or may not include a military career.
I appreciate that UMA is committed to help the individual cadet develop leadership as a core skill and support the development of individual talent. I love my job because I get to be part of helping cadets develop socially, emotionally, and guide them to post-secondary options within the backdrop of a patriotic, leadership-centered learning environment.
