Loys Hamilton

Science Instructor

Loys Hamilton is a Science Teacher who works with students to promote self-awareness, competent study skills, and teamwork to understand the natural world in which they live. By using scientific principles to identify the basic laws and tenets upon which nature is grounded, Mr. Hamilton brings a hands-on approach to build a pupil’s observation and critical thinking skills to establish a firm foundation in systematic examination.

Loys believes in each student’s ability to learn, grow and develop into productive citizens that challenge themselves by never being satisfied with their status … always looking for ways to improve mentally, physically, emotionally and socially. He knows that our youth are the leaders, innovators, artists, and pioneers into the future that lies before our society. He works hard to establish meaningful and heartfelt rapport with every individual to encourage honest study, hard work and meaningful engagement. He genuinely cares for the young people of our country.

Mr. Hamilton served in the U.S Army as a Chemical Officer, and then transitioned into the workforce as a Safety Professional with United Space Alliance in support of the NASA Space Shuttle Program at Kennedy Space Center, Florida. He then relocated to Utah to be with his children after a short stay in Franklin, North Carolina and Las Vegas, Nevada. After moving to Utah, he decided to go back into teaching, which has been a passion for most of his life.

Loys Hamilton is married to Debbie Williams and they have 12 children. He graduated from Brigham Young University with a Bachelor of Science in Microbiology. Since then he has completed additional class work to teach Biology and is currently enrolled at Utah State University to obtain his Masters in Secondary Education.
